On February 23, 2008, FlaCarShows.com will be hosting the first annual WinterFest open show at the Ramada Inn Cocoa, and YOU'RE invited!
The party begins Friday afternoon, and continues throughout the day and evening Saturday. There will be dash plaques and goody bags for the first 100 (the value of the goody bag is more than the registration fee), door and raffle prizes, some awards, music by WJBJ, and much, much more!

8:00 AM - Pre-registration open. Pre-registered vehicles move to the lake. Music by WJBJ.
9:00 AM - Day of show entrants begin registering, and parking around the lake.
10:00 AM-2:00 PM - NSRA Courtesy Safety Inspections available.
11:00 AM-1:00 PM - Deli sandwich platters available from the Ramada Inn restaurant.
2:00 PM - Awards, door and raffle prizes, and 50/50 drawing.
5:00 PM-7:00 PM - Ramada Inn Buffet served in the dining room. You must pre-purchase a ticket to attend.
6:00 PM-9:00 PM - Music by WJBJ at the south side of the lake. Hotel lounge open. |

The show will be held around the lake at the newly-remodeled Ramada Inn, the vendors will be adjacent to the lake, awards and drawings will be held in the north parking area opposite the lake, and the buffet will be served in the hotel restaurant.
Consider making it a weekend...the room rate for the Ramada is just $64.99/night. Make your reservation before February 8, 2008, by calling (321) 631-1210, and be sure to mention WinterFest to get this substantially-reduced rate.

 vendor info
A number of vendors have expressed an interest in WinterFest, and we appreciate that. However, few were compatible with this type event. In addition, there's fire, safety, and licensing regulations that were not anticipated. With this in mind, we've decided NOT to include vendors at WinterFest 2008. Again, our thanks to those vendors who contacted us, and hopefully, we'll be able to resolve these issues before WinterFest 2009! |

 awards
This IS NOT a judged, trophied show. We will be selecting our Favorite Ten from the show field. Our selections may not be the most expensive vehicles, nor the fanciest painted, but when the awards are presented, we'll tell everyone WHY we selected each of them.
There will also be the Ramada Manager's Choice, the Longest Distance Driven, and the Club with the most vehicles will receive an award, plus $50 cash (ten minimum for the cash, please).
Your club affiliation must be on your registration form. Please don't ask to change it once you've registered. |

 raffle and door prizes
There will be plenty of opportunities to win...at 2:00 PM, the first drawing will be for a crisp new $100 bill, and will be going to one of the pre-registered vehicles.
Then there's door prizes galore (well over 50), and your vehicle registration number is your ticket to win. To keep the mood light, it'll be done in 'Lets Make A Deal' style, with lots of laughter, and a couple surprises!
There's five great raffle prizes (valued at well over $1,000), including a portable GPS, an aluminum racing jack, and a 26" HDTV flat screen TV, and you select the prize(s) YOU want to win (Chinese auction). Each pre-registered vehicle will receive one FREE ticket. And there's also a Ladies Only raffle with three prizes, and each adult female in attendance will receive one FREE ticket.
Additional tickets for both raffles can be purchased at the registration tent.
We'll wrap up the drawings and awards with the 50/50 drawing. Tickets can be purchased from Jen on the show field anytime Saturday. |

 questions and answers
Q. I'm planning to attend, but will have to leave early. Is that okay?
A. Yes, although you must be present to win the door prizes, and/or the 50/50 drawing.
Q. Is there any trailer parking close by?
A. Yes...there's trailer parking on the south side of the property.
Q. When is the stereo competition?
A. Ummmm...possibly the following weekend.
Q. Will there be room for our club's pop-up tent?
A. There will be room for normal-sized pop-ups.
Q. Will the hotel restaurant be open during the day.
A. As of now, the hotel plans to keep the restaurant open for lunch, and serve the buffet at dinnertime.
Q. Do we have to eat at the hotel restaurant?
A. No. You can bring your own food and beverage, but no open-fire cooking will be allowed. Also, the hotel's liquor license does not allow for consumption of alcoholic beverages on the show field.
Q. I uderstand there's a space launch scheduled for the show weekend. Can it be seen from the hotel?
A. Unfortunately, the launch is scheduled for February 14th. The Ramada Inn is one of the preferred locations to view a launch.
Q. Are FOR SALE signs going to be allowed?
A. Yes, FOR SALE signs will be allowed.
Q. I'm attending the show. Some friends will be visitng later in the day. Is there parking for them?
A. Yes, spectator parking will be available on the south side of the hotel.
Q. How do you feel about motorcycles attending the show? Our club might ride up for the day.
A. Yes, motorcycles are welcome. The area around the lake may be a little soft for kickstand's, but hard-surfaced parking will be arranged for any motorcycles that attend. |

Club and group parking is encouraged, and there should be plenty of room for everyone.
Clubs and groups traveling together should plan to meet somewhere close by, and enter the show together. It'll accomplish two things...insure that you'll be parking together, and help keep the parking crew's blood pressure near normal.
If you plan to attend with MORE than ten vehicles, please let us know how many, so that we can arrange sufficient parking for your group in advance.
If your club is hosting an upcoming event, you can supply us with your event flyers before February 8th. We'll include 100 of them in the goody bags, put the rest on the registration table, and you won't have to walk the show field handing them out!

 food and beverage
The Ramada Inn will be serving overstuffed deli sandwich platters in the restaurant during lunchtime Saturday. The price is $6.95.
The Ramada will also be offering a buffet of fried chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, pasta salad, and a beverage. The price, including tax and gratuity, is $13.50 for adults, and $9 for children under 12. To participate in the buffet, you DO NOT need to be a guest at the Ramada, nor do you even have to enter a vehicle in the show, but you MUST pre-regsiter by February 8, 2008 for the buffet. The Ramada Inn requires a total count prior to the show, and there will only be a few (if any) buffet tickets available Saturday. |

 registration info
Pre-registration is open until February 8, 2008. Registration fee is $15, and the first 100 pre-registered will receive a dash plaque and a goody bag.
All those who pre-regsiter will be eligible to win a $100 bill in the Pre-registration Only drawing. You'll also receive one FREE raffle prize ticket.
Those who pre-register, but aren't staying at the hotel, should plan on arriving Saturday between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Those who do not pre-register should arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
